The 2027 Running Journal

A week-by-week log for every mile you run in 2027.

  • 148 pages
  • 7 × 10 in paperback
  • Dated 2027
  • Kilometres or miles

A year of running, one week at a time.

The calendar year, 1 January to 31 December, with nothing missing at either end. Seven dated daily entries on the left, the week totalled and reviewed on the right, and a chart of the distance you actually ran rather than the distance you meant to.

This journal is for everything around the numbers: which shoes you were in, how you slept, and why the last mile fell apart.

What's inside

Everything in the 148 pages.

  • Fifty-one dated weekly spreads, Monday to Sunday, with every day of 2027 printed so there is nothing to fill in before you start.
  • Seven daily entries a week, with distance, time, pace, RPE and the shoes you wore, plus a line for how it went.
  • A daily distance chart on every week summary, shaded in as the week goes, so a glance tells you the shape of it.
  • Week totals. Distance, time, runs, longest run and average pace, in one strip.
  • A block review spread every four weeks. Thirteen of them across the year, dated so you can find the block you want, because four-week trends are real and single weeks are mostly noise.
  • A goals page before the first week, with the first days of January beside it, because that is when anybody decides what the year is for.
  • A review page after the last week, with the last days of December beside it, and room for what carries into next year.
  • A shoe log. Most pairs are done somewhere between 500 and 800 km, or 300 to 500 miles, and logging it is the only way to know where yours are.
  • A niggle log with a shoes column, so a recurring ache can be traced to what you were running in when it started.
  • Races planned and raced, with target and actual times side by side.
  • Routes and best times, for the loops you keep coming back to.
  • The year totalled block by block at the back.

Kilometres or miles

The distance columns carry no unit. Cross out the one you do not use on the profile page at the front, and every entry, total and chart in the book reads in the other.
